Logo Printing Process
At John Batman Group we use our onsite hot stamping machine to customise your compendium folders, menus and directories with your logo.
Foil stamping is a specialised printing process that involves the use of heat, pressure and foils to create shining metal like logos, text and graphics in a range of colours. It is also called hot stamping or hot foil stamping since the process is largely dependent on heat for transferring the logo from the hot stamp onto the material.
The design to be rendered in foil is etched onto a metal die plate. The die plate is heated up, and the foil is placed between the die and the surface of the material to be stamped. When the die is applied to the surface, the foil bonds to the surface, producing the metallic effect.
All of our foil stamping is debossed, so your logo will be imprinted into the material creating a sunken or depressed effect to add depth and impact to the design. You can choose to leave the debossed area untouched (known as a blind deboss) for a more subtle effect or fill it in with foil stamping in the colour of your choice.
Debossing is a great way to enhance your folders and bring attention to your logo. This premium effect of customising presses your logo into the material so it won’t fade or wear off and gives your imprint a finer, more permanent look than other imprint methods like silk screening or pad printing.
